Courtney’s designs are centered around reuse; giving a new story to leftover materials. She primarily works with Italian furniture leather scraps, coffee sacks, and fabric remnants.

Artist Statement

My hope is that the pieces I create make you feel good knowing the leather or fiber has been upcycled and crafted here in Virginia. I don’t use any templates or patterns, making each piece truly one of a kind. My logo for Restoried is a wild horse which is my way of honoring where I began creating pieces in Corolla, NC on the Outers Banks. Our property bordered the reserve, and from time to time the wild horses would be found in our yard. It was only fitting to keep the logo with Virginia’s rich history in horses.
